Saaty Photography
During my internship for Saaty Photography, I was given the opportunity to curate and create content for Instagram and Pinterest. I additionally created blog posts on WordPress to be featured directly on the Saaty Photography website and worked on SEO for greater company growth and recognition. Some of the blog content I created can be found on my blog page. My other main task involved creating an extended vendors list for all things wedding-related in Arizona.
I ran two separate pages during my time as an intern. The first focused on social media engagement. I spent about 20 minutes a day on Instagram for 4-5 days a week working on engagement. I was tasked with liking, commenting, and being involved with the Instagram community. The goal was to target specific vendors, venues, and other wedding industry-related accounts. The second focused on building a portfolio and the use of captions as well as hashtags. The app Planoly was used for scheduling and caption creation. I spent time creating captions in advance to be able to post two times a week. These captions included questions, information, historical facts, as well as quotes.
I increased Pinterest engagement by sharing a lot of external content, creating group boards for people to follow, and adding pins to the already existing boards we had. I create an action plan for ways to improve brand engagement on Pinterest.
Vendors List
I created a complete wedding vendors list with a variety of categories, each with a list of potential vendors. I provided the contact information as well as the mission statement for each vendor. Finally, I came up with a complete wedding checklist that suggests a timeline for contacting and meeting with vendors.
WordPress and SEO Analysis
I wrote 1-2 blog posts per week, focusing on travel and photography in Northern Arizona. You can access a sample of my blog posts directly on my blog page.
I spent time editing posts by working with SEO analysis and meta-data to increase company recognition on google search results.
